Hi Guys,
I am looking for a power wire to hardwire my radar, and was directed to your thread.
Unfortunately I dont have the garage door opener option in my 2002 x5. Also: The radar I have (whistler 5000k for those playing at home) gets mounted in the bumper with only the 'brain' section having to be in the cabin.
In the past I have mounted the brain in the footwell under the steering wheel, so the wire doesnt necessarily have to be in the roof console, as line-of-sight is not necessary.
I just need an ignition wire that wont cause any fault codes to appear.
Your assistance would be appreciated
