I know what you are talking about. The only thing I have been able to find is that I put the temp on the air condition to 16,5C. Then it is manageable. Interesting though, since the low end of the scale is 16C. So when it is -30C outside, mine is set almost to the lowest end and it feels like a sauna inside. And true that it blows way to much. As if the minimum setting is 5 bars on the display in auto mode, no matter what.
What I have also noticed is that it functions a lot better when driving on highway. Then I can increase the temp on the unit to 21C and feel good. The problem mainly occurs when driving in city with very low speed for over an hour.
Have not figured yet how to get rid of it. The dealer says there is nothing wrong. What might help is to turn the A/C on. I have not used it in cold weather since it really does not make any sense other that getting rid of moisture and getting rid of foggy windows.
The best setting I have found to work is to set the temperature to 16.5C - 18C. Set it on auto, then turn off A/C and direct it to blow down to feet and towards window.
It almost feels as if the system changes the scale behind the scenes depending on the temperature outside. So during summer I cannot get that heat out of the blower even with 35C setup in the unit. Yet 16.5C is a real heat bomber during winter.
