I'd probably go for the 2002 and use the $5K to start modding
. But keep in mind that the 2003 will always have a slightly higher resale value than the 2002. So when you go to sell, if you did buy the 2003 then you would recoup at least some of the $5K difference at that time.
The cargo area isn't that big, so having the cargo floor isn't a necessity. I look at it as more of a trade off between the convenience factor versus some cargo space you lose by having it. Just a matter of preference.
