When I test drove the X5 4.8 last weekend, it does not equip with the Active Steering option.
The sales person mentioned it's a "MUST HAVE" option because blah blah blah....
From the BMW website I understand the Active Steering works better only on the lower speed when you making turns and at higher speed its basically the same as the normal steering??
Active Steering $1400
- Active Steering provides a variable, electronically controlled steering ratio and power assistance. At lower speeds, the steering is more direct. Yet at higher speeds, the steering provides greater directional stability. Active Steering is networked with DSC, achieving a reduction in DSC brake intervention.
Any "direct input" from the "Active Steering" owners are much appreciated.
