Yea, it was me. I mentioned that a retro fit Ford "Auto Lights' comes complete with everything to allow it to work "out of the box". It only costs around $75 complete.
But it would have to be cut into the X5 wiring to get it working. I would advise using Scotch "T" Taps so it could be removed easily.
