yeah, saw this on abc nightly news last night. It has 6 or 7 thousand lithium ion batteries that last about 100K miles. Unfortunately, you can only go about 200 miles between charges. I think they said that they have already received deposits for the first 100 orders at $100K each, and the buyer can't test drive it, only go on a ride-a-long. The guy who started Paypal already has invested $37 mil into the company. Seems like a pretty amazing car, considering there are only about 12 moving parts to the engine, according to the news report. It also uses an aluminum chassis that's similar to the ones used in F1 race cars that allow the drivers to walk away from a crash almost unharmed. If it takes off, it will be the first successful American automobile startup in 50 years. It was a very interesting report that almost made me miss Jay Leno's Headlines.
