It's an example, but I get that reading sometimes. Because it is "instantaneous", you'll get some very high numbers at low speeds because it really DOES take that much fuel. On flat terrain with 50% throttle, the first second or so acceleration from a dead stop, 1st gear usually uses about 72 liters/100km from my 2.5 liter petrol. But consumption quickly drops afterwards. Highway is around 8 l/100km. Average for me since the last service has been 11.2 l/100km (its another OBC function, menu item 5)
