It is fully hard wired in. I ran power cables to the 12v cigarette outlet in the centre console, which powers up when the engine is on. I also ran audio cables to the aux-input in the centre console, so the sound comes through the stereo. It came with one set of IR headphones and I ordered an extra two sets aswell, so if we want music on, the kids can still watch DVDs and listen through headphones.
