Luckily for me the blue adapter was easy to find. It's just not plugged into anything. I've also taken a look at my X5 (2005) this morning and there seems to plenty of space for mounting the VR module.

What confused, and still confuses me, is the ULFs overall capabilities with regards VR. I have the 6th generation 84 21 6 9 55522 ULF. There is a 6th generation ULF for sale and is advertised as having VR capability.

Looking at BimmerNav their Bluetooth retro-kit comes with VR. Is the VR function serviced by the 13th gen ULF or do you simply get an additional VR module as part of the retro-fit kit? Is the 6th gen ULF also a VR device.
