as you can see here: http://www.auto-treff.com/bmw/vb/sho...hreadid=208055 there is a new iDrive Controller on the way. That seems to have leaked via the newest BMW accessories configurator (available as DVD at dealer).

People are saying that it comes along with a completely new CCC from Harman/Becker and will be introduced with the F01 in summer and for MY09 in september on all models.

That would correspond with the BMW press release from yesterday that they bring a high-res display with unlimited real internet access and data flatrate for BMW models within 2008.


Anybody has an idea or knows someone within BMW to give a little more info about that?
Does it really start in september on all current iDrive-models, also 1 and 3 series?
