You're right, there is no such thing as dustless pads. However, the ceramic compound pads made by Hawk, Axxis, EBC, and others produce considerable less dust. More importantly, the dust they do produce is light grey to white in color, not black like the organic OEM pads. So the dust does not show up on silver wheels.
The size of the rotors or the weight have little to do with amount of dust. The main differentiator is the pad material.
The reason I want to change the OEM pad is I don't want to clean my wheels every day. The black dust is visable within a few miles after cleaning.
