Hi Ash,

Carx is just a front end interface for a carputer (a pc in the boot connected to touch screen monitor) that emulates the look of an OEM nav screen.

It can be used as an add on for an OEM setup but requires an i-bus interface and a pc running the carx software.

It's a nice idea but I'm not sure I'd like to lug a laptop or pc base station around in the boot all the time, waiting for it to boot etc...

Not sure about how the HDD would stand up to the rough ride either.

If you want to play mp3s and watch videos then get an Intravee and an Alpine KCA-420i iPod interface.
