Hey come on, although they're moving the production from Austria to US, they still need to produce cars back to europe, thus there will still be diesels and manuals. The X5 is done in the US and there are all the model combinations over here in Europe.
Just because US only uses one or two fuel models doesn't mean there aren't a dozen models for the other countries.
So, quicksilver, yes there will be at least as many model combinations as today. They're just optimizing the US production line by moving the X3 together to its older brother.
