That doesn’t stop an overzealous PD from arresting you or the DA from charging you. In state I have my CCW in, if someone entered your house, while you didn’t have to retreat, you couldn’t go looking for them also. You had to do everything possible to avert from deadly force. While that wasn’t the law, that is what was taught because of how some PD's and DA's are. Laws like the one passed remove all uncertainty if you did or did not do the right thing.
