I believe an issue like this was discussed in the past, but I can't find it in a site search......

Anyway - 2004 4.4 X5 50,000 miles - Sometimes when I let off the gas, the vehicle feels like it is applying the brakes by itself. I am not braking but there is a distinct "slowing" of the car - it does not feel like it is free wheeling. It does not pull and there are no unusual smells to indicate brake problems. Mileage remains consistent. It is going in for service soon, but I thought I'd get some opinions. Any?
