Hmmm, sounds like a new noise to me. Not one I've heard of... Are you still under warranty? Only 17k and 3.5 - 4 years old, if you still have warranty I'd bring it in to the dealer and make sure you get someone to hear it before you leave... whether it be the SA or shop foreman.
