I had the same problem. Everything under the hood seemed to be fine. So I followed the instructions from the link Brit6 posted on replacing the FSR. The only problem I encounted was that the FSR is on the drivers side (Australian).
I didn't replace the FSR I just disconnected it and then reconnected it. Everything started to work.
