Paul Miller BMW 'removed' the stolen wallet key from the X5's system yesterday, so it will not longer start the car (whew!)
But as far as I know, the key will still open the driver's side door lock (unlike the ignition, there's no coding required to manually turn the lock cylinder in the door).
I ordered the keyless door handle part from Bimmian on Wed. - and paid $22 for overnight shipping - but unfortunately they didn't get it out for shipment until yesterday (
), so the tracking number says it will be here Monday. Looks like I'll still be sweating until then...
