My observations is based on my experience, My 2 bimmers have the same noise every time i start them in the morning, specially when starting after not using them for few days. After changing the belt of one of them, I immediately notice the noise was gone, even after not using it for few days (cold weather too). I did same fix with the other one, noise disappeared.
