I just received the BMW roof rack system for E70 and it came with the rubber strip. The problem is that I cannot lock the roof rack if I have the rubber strip on (it goes under the lock cover). Why does it come with the rubber strip if I cannot lock the roof rack . Anyone has this problem? Do you just mount your roof box without using the rubber strip? I heard the rubber strip is designed for reducing wind noise...
