She limped home as it started to overheat and then it dumped a large amount of coolant in the driveway

OP...you will most likely need either a new rad and/or new coolant hoses in addition to t-stat/water pump, etc.... Your wife overheated the X driving home. Rads blow quickly when that happens. Also not only your radiator may have blown. Check your oil. Pull out the stick and check for litle bubbles on it or other sign of water. Pull the oil fill cap off top of the motor and look if there is anything other than normal oil resedue on the other side of the cap.

Check all that before you put the new parts on. Trust me.
