The BT/Assist combos do take some dealer programming plus if your x5 didn't have assist to start with you will need to do some additional wiring for the assist switch, not to mention GPS antenna, etc. If all you are after is Bluetooth, the retrofit ULFs are probably the way to go - no dealer programming, easy install, etc.
