I think that the original is "DVD Professional 2009.1 65 90 2 147 677 (DVD-CCC)". That is is DVD-9 single sided dual layer DVD that can fit up to 8.5 GB.

The other one, Professional 2009.1 65 90 2 165 623 (DVD5-CCC), appears (from it's name) to be a DVD-5 which is a single sided single layer DVD that can hold up to 4.7 GB.

Maybe there's some DVD drives that have problems with the DVD-9 (i.e. the dual layer) format? BMW must have cut some POIs to fit Pro 2009.1 onto a DVD-5 but it wouldn't have taken much cutting to get it down to that level.
