Picked up a 4.8is in December and about a week ago I replaced the stock 20 Diamaris, decided to give the Continental DWS's a try.

The Diamaris -- all four -- looked great from the *outside* with no visible signs of uneven wear whatsoever and plenty of tread left.

However, one of the rears, when you looked at the tire from the *inside* the rubber was completely peeling off one of the inner corners to the point that you could see the inner mesh threads.

Again -- no visible wear from the outside, you could only see this tire falling apart by unmounting it from the wheel/rim and looking at it from the inside.

I will now be unmounting all my tires for internal visual inspection at least once a year. Ugh, another f'in' thing to worry about, lol...

Anyone else experience this?

Anyone explain to this newbie how the tire would be falling apart like that on the inside (I'm guessing from the camber?) yet show no signs of uneven wear on the outside?
