I think i found the cause of my dead battery. It seems like I have alarm problem. i noticed my x5 set off an alarm about 2 hours ago. I reset it and then put it in the garage. half hour later i heard it do it again. by the time i got out to garage, the sound had disappeared but lights were flashing. This could explain the dead batteries .
As far as battery tests are concerned, that is what I was told .
