UPDATE,

I finally have the answer as to why the 8800 does not and will never work.

Basically there are Bluetooth Profiles in the phone and the 8800 only has one handsfree profile where as say the 6230i has two.

Without this extra Bluetooth profile ( the one used by BMW ) then it's never going to work in a month of Sundays.

The info Charlie Brown got about 1.1 & 1.2 bluetooth versions is rubbish.

This phone will never work.
