Remember California has a budget larger than many countries and what is developed here drives much of what happens in the rest of the country. That includes legislation regarding energy, technology, the enviornment, earthquake prevention, building codes, shipping, and now bio technology. We also grow approx 68% of this nations food. So it's not the wasting of tax payer money on government thats the problem, it's the way government spends money thats the problem. We also have a problem of too many people who want to come here to live. Figures indicate that some 20 million are expected to migrate here over the next 10 years. Some will come from New Jersery no doubt. You would be surprised how a persons attitude changes once they come here to live.
