That's a ful alpine system. The display is a TME-750. The gold box is the screen driver. If you go to Alpine's website you should be able to download the PDF installation manual which will tell you what connections are what.

The control of the systam comes from an IR eye in the LCD, through to the gold box, and back up the RGB cable (big square one) to the DVD player (missing).

Edit: You may also have an additional IR eye or wired/wireless headphone setup, looking at some of the pictures. The 3.5mm jacks are either audio or IR.
