Hey Turks. I too have have a '04 4.4 and have experienced the same issue with the mirrors. As you know they have a power fold option however if the mirrors are not in the exact position they need to be in, typically one mirror will fold and the other (the mirror that needs to be adjusted) will not. If you simply adjust one of the mirrors with your hands gently pushing in or out and then retry the power fold option that seems to work for me. I think what happens is people bump into the mirrors in parking lots etc. and it nudges them out of place (which is one reason why BMW has the power fold option).
