Hi before you remove the glovebox and repair/replace the GM you should make some electrical tests with your multi meter.
1 Test dc volts at window motor connector while operating up switch should be approx.+12V.
2 Test dc volts at window motor connector while operating down switch should be approx.-12V.
The correct result is the voltage stays the same but the polarity changes from + to -
3 Next remove motor wires and connect 12v from battery etc to motor directly and observe that window moves up and down as you reverse the wires on the battery[this will prove that there is no mechanical problem ]
