I also have an round to flat (17 to 40) pin adapter harness since I upgraded a year ago to the new business cd ( from a 2005 x5) to get aux input. This is the interesting part, When I got the upgrade I also installed a connects2 adapter for parrot BT and the new business CD was sending a wrong message to the amp/dsp and muted the speakers. To work around this I had to disconnect the Tel-Mute wire that goes to the business CD. Without the connects2 adapter both units worked fine. So, it looks like there is a difference somewhere in the software for the iBus I think.
