I had this same issue. If you have tried to reset the sunroof as per your manula and it still doesn't work and nothing is stopping the roof from closing it's likely the cable pulling it closed has snapped, just like mine did. You can get a $700AUD fix apparently then use the sunroof at your peril or get the entire sunroof casette replaced for around $5000AUD.
