Panoramic Sunroof Problems - BMW X5 2004

Hi, I have a 2004 BMW X5 and the rear section of the panoramic roof is failing to close when up in the tilt position. I have also tried to use the manual closing option but only the front part of the roof closes. Has anyone else come across this problem? Do you know how it can be resolved without paying fortunes at the local greedy dealership??

I had this same issue. If you have tried to reset the sunroof as per your manula and it still doesn't work and nothing is stopping the roof from closing it's likely the cable pulling it closed has snapped, just like mine did. You can get a $700AUD fix apparently then use the sunroof at your peril or get the entire sunroof casette replaced for around $5000AUD.
