I just installed the unit with a 40 pin connector.
. It was a painful experience having to butcher the frame to fit. There is no coming back to fit the original units.
A couple of questions.
Is the can bus converter being use or connecetd anyway? What is it for?
Where do you connect the "illunination" wire?
The manual show "car settings" icon for setting speed,etc...but this is not visible on the screen. GPS is working but no Nav software or maps. Would a working Nav software and maps provide these features?
It would appear that the following doesn't work anymore?
CD changers - not a show stopper. If it does, how?
Set Speed Limit alert/Time/Date - need to reconnect original unit to reset?
