open the mirror: http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...all-video.html

shift the glass upwards, unplug cables - maybe before shifting, I do not remember that detail. Put new glass in place - shift down to lock -don't forget cabling.

Opening the mirror seems to be the hardest part - rest is easy.
