OK, if you say so. But if it is such a poor design then why don't the Toyota models in question have a higher incidence of unintended acceleration incidents as a percentage of vehicles on the road, than other vehicles?

Anybody actually think that unintended acceleration incidents in Toyotas were caused by shifting floor mats or faulty carpet retention clips?
Seems pretty clear that they can't find any fault in the vehicle, are are just extending the previous floor mat/carpet recalls to the remaining Toyota models as part of closing the investigation.
