In Ireland, glass coverage tends to be automatic with comprehensive insurance policies. No extra cost and there's no deductible.

I recently had rear door glass replaced. The company who did it made a complete mess of it. They absolutely butchered the interior trim panel ... it's now full of cracks and the leather covering is all torn. My integrated window blind won't retract any more, it's stuck open. They didn't put the panel on properly, I can insert a finger between the glass and the panel now. They broke all the rubbers around the edge of the door, the exterior trim pieces are badly scratched and bent out of shape. It rattles too while driving. Complete mess.

Think this evening I made some ground towards having them pay for the main dealer to replace the interior panel, blind, exterior trim pieces and all the rubber seals. Fingers crossed !
