Check out the blackberry app store. The core apps are there but obviously the device is new, so there aren't 100,000 apps like on ipad or android, they're expecting a huge influx of apps in a month or so when RIM releases the "app-player" sw. But again, quality over quantity is always better. Also, the browser on the playbook is damn fast, and if there's an app that someone needs now, they can probably just get the info via the browser.
The playbook does have a Facebook app, and uhhh, the ipad doesn't

And the playbook has flash, and USB, and front and rear HD cameras.
