My experience with the FSR is that once it's gone all kinds of electronic faults show up most of which are unpredictable. I took out fuse #64 to stop the blower running but the battery still drained. The only thing that worked was disconnecting the FSR. I then replaced it. Numerous posts here indicate the FSR goes fairly frequently so I wouldn't be at all surprised if that's your problem.
