Looks like it may just be a loose connection into the bottom of the radio tuner, as the audio comes and goes over bad bumps in the road. I've wedged a rolled up cloth under it to try and hold it in place for now, but I'll get the garage who fitted it to strip it out and check all the connections next time I'm there.
