First off, since you have DSP, and you do not mention the CD-changer coaxial cable, I have to attribute that as the issue. You might be able to buy a A/D converter from tom g...

Also, the noise is from a ground loop in between the audio ground on the mini connector and the ground in the cig adapter. You can try improving the cig adapter ground, or install a ground loop isolator, but that will be a PITA since all the GLI's I know have RCA plugs...
