Part of the reason for wanting to persevere with this particular car is the fact that the interior and body are in like new excellent condition. I was thinking a few months ago that my X was developing rattles and handling problems, and maybe wouldn't go 300k.

I had the suspension over hauled with all the right bushing etc and it now handles better than I remember.

So now that I've worked on and repaired a whole lot of other stuff plus service the trans and the engine etc etc made me think if I can keep the engine and trans running smooth then I have a good shot at a 300,000 mile car that still is pleasurable to drive.
