Might one ask WHAT KIND OF Run Flat Tires did you have? BMW ships I think 3 or 4 different un Flat Tires.
I have the michelin latitudes, RFT, which are not bad.

Fair enough. I had the Bridgestone Dueler H/L 400 RFTs on mine from the factory.
Why some have problem with "context" is still a mystery to me, though.
A sentence never stands on it's own.
Michelin always makes a very nice tire - no question.
It should also be said that this experience was a double variable. That is, my first set of RFTs AND my first set of Continentals.
I am much more accustomed to Michelin (Cross Terrain - two sets, most recently on my last vehicle) , although they were not available (in stock) the last time I absolutely had to have new tires. Which would have been after DESTROYING one of the RFTs.
With the Contis, the ride is softer and the cornering is smoother. I would not describe it as "night and day." Mileage actually went down VERY slightly with the Contis from the Dueler RFTs. And of course if I ever get a flat again, I'll have a bit of a problem because the "spare" (mounting bits) option was NOT available when I ordered my car.
But as someone said.. That's what BMW Assist is for.
