Drained/refilled the trans in my '03 4.4 X5 at 100k, 3 times with 1 week of driving driving between changes, this minimized "shock" to the trans. Used Castrol Import Syn that had the BMW and LT 71141 listed. Over 150k now with 1000s of miles towing a 6k lb trailer behind the loaded truck (over 12k lbs total vehicle weight) with ZERO trans issues.
