My 2002 X5 4.4i is getting increasingly annoying with things breaking. At 180K+ miles I was hoping to make it to 200K before moving on, but I'm starting to look. Here's my criteria...

1. Fun to drive (good performance and looks).
2. Equal or MORE cargo space (need more than the current 55 cu ft for band equipment and instruments).
3. BETTER FUEL ECONOMY (30+ MPG is my goal).
4. <$50K (the more less, the better!)

My considerations so far....
1. 2011 X5 Diesel (almost 30 mpg highway).
2. NEW 2013 Ford Escape (looks cool, lots of features, impressive specs, and HALF the price).
3. 2013 Range Rover Evoque (cool looks, good performance, but light on the cargo space)

Any recommendations?? What would YOU replace your X5 with?

I LOVE the way it drives!
I HATE its poor reliability and quality!
