For the oil change on my mother's 325i, I'm going to try a LL-04 spec oil, see if it brings any noticeable difference in fuel consumption or driving habits. I'm well-aware of the whole TBN differences and purpose of the newer spec, but her car is generally not driven hard and I figure it's worth giving it a shot. I can easily get the Pentosin 5W-30 at O'Reillys.
