Today I pulled off the road and angled onto a steeply declining driveway. My front right tire was on the decline and the left rear was on the road. When I attempted to back out, my left rear tire burned rubber continuously. I have a 01' 4.4, but I thought that the brake system would kick in to stop the spinning wheel and transfer power to the wheels with traction. I tried the DSC on and off, tried using the handbrake, and finally had some people sit on the tailgate to weight the rear tire and backed out. Shouldn't a four wheel drive vehicle be able to handle this situation?
