I'm trying to the same job, I wonder how you get to the alternator, from the top or bottom? I am trying from the top, I tried to wiggle the alternator and I can see it's moving, but it won't get out. Hope you are still around here.

I beleive I have placed it in its correct locations and path but It's so tight I can not get the tension pully back in to its slot to tighten and lock in its position.
.....Also ater I re-installed the alternator I am having trouble inserting the bottom (longer) bolt to catch the thread at the end. The bolt is 3/4 of the way in but cant catch the thread. The top shorter bolt is fully inserted.
I would greatly apreciate any help.
