So I get an email from my SA that they are now replacing the Digital Diesel Electronics (DDE).
Long story short, this past weekend I noticed via iDrive that the "Engine Oil was Too High." I checked manually with the dispstick and it was slightly over. Bring to the dealer and they adjust the oil level, but car was still showing the message in iDrive. They replace the oil sensor, but still same message. Next step is to replace the DDE as per PUMA.
I do not have the codes (sorry Ard
), but how concerned should I be that the DDE is being replaced? Car is 2.4 yrs w/21K, and other than recalls, has been great. I'm now a bit nervous Pandora's Box has been open and I'll end up getting excessive battery drain or other electronic gremlins...The car has been at the dealer since Monday.
