I definitely don't think the bridge did the damage, I think that the rubber has aged and produced enough of a hole to leak, BMW doesn't make these air springs out of long term rubber for whatever reason!

I think the other side spring probably looks similar to what you took off, good luck keeping that ass up in the air now!


FYI to other E70 guys, Neil texted me and I looked up online to find aftermarket air springs and it seems like they are not available yet for E70, unlike the E53 which you can use Arnott Industries replacements half of what the dealer charges and with a lifetime warranty..
